Week 2

Just some random thoughts and happenings from this week.

I've been wondering how the boys will be the same and differ. So far, Teo doesn't have the evening crying fits that Alex had and he doesn't spit up as much as Alex. He's also fairly content to just lay in his crib staring at the wall or a toy. This might just be a second kid thing, since I need to give Alex attention as well.

I'm feeling a little more comfortable with taking care of both boys on my own. The tough part is if I decide we're going out. Getting two boys up or down the stairs is a challenge and if I have a grocery bag as well...

This morning Alex brought me the cats' empty food bowl without any prompting. I don't normally involve Alex in feeding the cats except to say - leave the cats alone, they're having breakfast. Kind of cool.

Alex has been adjusting pretty well. We've had a few rough afternoons where he will cry the entire time I'm feeding Teo. But he's getting better, as am I, making sure he's got a snack or I try to engage him by singing a song or encouraging him in whatever he's doing.
